Conclusions23 (MetaOpinion™)
Therapies that block tumor blood vessel growth are showing promise for the treatment of advanced stage ovarian cancer. For example, phase 3 trials have established that adding the angiogenesis inhibitor bevacizumab to chemotherapy improves outcomes in women with this cancer. Ongoing studies are exploring whether adding different doses or other drugs can further improve upon results to date. New therapies in the pipeline should also provide reason for optimism.

Clinical trials offer the best opportunities for women with advanced ovarian cancer to receive promising new therapies and help to advance treatment for future generations.
